Interesante escarabajo, pero no creo que sea depredador, más bien parece un Crisomelido (herbívoro)

I would think of Chrysomelidae, Chrysomelinae and Leptotarsa sp., but I am not sure if it is Leptotarsa decemlineata, the Colorado Potato Beetle. This is a serious pest and introduced to many countries, even to Europe, so why not Panama? The markings are indeed very similar, besides the darker legs.
