Description:

Family: Sphingidae, Subfamily: Sphinginae. Common Large Sphinx Moth. Total Length: 45-60 mm. Gray FW has double, jagged black lines. Oblique apical dash touched jagged ST line. White reniform sport. Hosts: Ash, Oak and other trees.

Habitat:

Woodlands. Comes to light.

Notes:

Other moths in photo. Large yellow male Io Moth (Automeris io), yellow and pink Rosy Maple Moth (Dryocampa rubicunda). Insect is Little Yellow Stonefly (Perlodiade sp.) and also micro moth.
