Rothschildia moth, silk moth

Rothschildia

Description:

A species of Rothschildia, with four transparent 'windows' in its wings.

Habitat:

Amazon rain forest

Notes:

This moth can only live for a maximum of four days, as it doesn't have a digestive system. It's only purpose is to mate, after which it dies. There are many different Rothschildia species, I cannot be sure which one this is.
