Caterpillar of Common Mormon Butterfly

Description:

5th instar. Large green with a tiara on the forehead and dark transverse marks on flanks.

Habitat:

My garden on he curry-patta (curry-leaf) tree (Murraya koenigii). I had trimmed the shrubs today and was cleaning the fallen leaves when I saw that the baby curry-patta plants growing under the trimmed mommy plant were strangely denuded. I had not touched these and so looked closely to find two 5th instar caterpillars. Hope they pupate nearby,
