Description:

Looking like a slime mold explosion, there were many empty goblets and an extensive buildup of spores. The sporangia were stalked, very crowded, and had yellow cups on the stalks. The stalks were brownish and were less than 1 mm tall.

Habitat:

On rotting wood in a mixed forest.
