Description:

Flattish beetle with hood shaped head: yellow bands orange highlights and a black triangle. Long wings outlined in yellow. Scaly underside that glows and blinks in neon green to attract mates. Wasn't blinking last night. Colloquially called Lightning Bugs in the southeast US, also called Fireflies.
