Averrhoa carambola
Fruit is oval shaped and has from 4-8 prominent longitudinal ridges. In cross section it resembles a star. The skin is thin, smooth and waxy. Turns from green to yellow when ripened.
It is grown very well in tropical and subtropical areas.
Very refreshing when made into juice and delicious when ripe.
