Macau Wasp eating Polytela gloriosae larva

Polytela gloriosae (Caterpillar) and Polistes olivaceus (Wasp)

Description:

The yellow wasp was feasting on the chocolate coloured Lily wasp caterpillar. It flew away leaving the poor caterpillar with its innards oozing out.

Habitat:

Potted lily plant.

Notes:

I did not know wasps attacked other insects....I thought they ate pollen an drank nectar.
