Rhizomnium magnifolium

Rhizomnium magnifolium, and Conocephalum conicum

Habitat:

These two species were found on a log in a middle elevation sphagnum bog, in Mazama, WA.

Notes:

Its an unusual growth form for C. conicum, most of the time is is appressed to it's substrate, in this case it was growing perpendicular.
