Catalpa Sphinx Moth Caterpillar

Description:

Known as Toggle worms. With attached parasite wasps. This catalpa sphinx larvae will not make it to adulthood due to the attached parasite wasps cocoons.

Habitat:

In a catalpa tree (toggle worm tree), near a pond.

Notes:

Fishermen who know about them use the toggle worms as bait. They always come back to same tree, year after year. We call it a toggle tree.

With cocoons of parasitic wasps. Should be in the Arthropod category.
