Shark Egg

Description:

Found this (hopefully) hatched shark egg on a beach called, " dolphin beach" in Jeffrey's Bay, South Africa. Not sure which shark it belongs to, would appreciate some input!

Gilma, do you know what kind of shark you pulled up? About 40% of sharks lay eggs. It depends on the species!

Thanks Bill. I got lucky! Landed in SA and my cousin and I went for a walk on the beach, amazing how much wildlife you can find in such a small area!

That is just awesome Arya! Great find!

WOW!! I did not know some sharks lay eggs.
Once while fishing I got a shark on my line, when I brought it to the deck it was having live baby sharks!!
