Wood fungus with stipe

Lentinellus pulvinulus

Description:

A cream-coloured wood fungus with a 30 mm wide cap. The stipe was dark, slightly furry, thick and firm. Cap was smooth with a thin undulating margin. The underside showed white gills which wee forked at the point of attachment.

Habitat:

Spotted growing off a damp decaying eucalyptus log.
