Cichorium intybus

Description:

Common chicory is a somewhat woody, perennial herbaceous plant usually with bright blue flowers, rarely white or pink.

Habitat:

It lives as a wild plant on roadsides in its native Europe, and in North America and Australia, where it has become naturalized.

Probably, I know, I still have a lot to learn, but I think it will not work with me.
I can memorize the names only for a day or 2 ;-))

It's not too hard ;) some species have the same flower and are very similar and need to look leaves, calyx, fruit to determinate them...

I am a little bit better informed in garden plants than wild plants, it's so difficult to determine precisely.
