Description:

Large Wooly Bear Caterpillar of the Spotted Tussock Moth, about 2 cm in length, last instar. This one was wandering about, oxygenating his tissues prior to pupation. Family Erebidae, Subfamily Arctiinae.

Habitat:

In a wooded area outside of the town of Skagway, Alaska.
