Stink Bug

Brachycerocoris camelus

Description:

This is the most unusual member of the family Tessaratomidae that I have encountered. A rather strange-looking bug which look like a miniature dinosaur from the side view. There was a tiny Ghost Ant (Tapinoma melanocephalum) moving around its body but the bug remain undisturbed. At first, I thought it was a dead bug infected by wasp or fungus. But, it actually moved its head when I manipulated the leaf that it was on to get some pictures.

Habitat:

Park.
