Strix Seloputo (Seloputo)
Critically endangered in Singapore, with about 80 individuals left. The male and female were together, but the female flew off before I took the photo (this is the male) Hopefully they will mate this year. The last time they had chcks was 2007, and of the two only one survived. I know that is their territory and has been for many years, and so I plan to go back there and get a better shot. :)

Thanks :) I also listen for them and try to find them from their calls to each other.
haha :D I'm going tomorrow night again if you go then. I saw them tonight again too :D
I would love to! But till I get the chance to go there, I'm left chasing roosters in the Nature Reserves....
You can get in quite easily if you want to see them too :)
Thanks RoySim :) Yes, I did see them last night, but only for about 5 minutes because it was still raining and they were a lot further back in than normal, so they were hard to see. :(
Oh, well...tonight maybe :D Thanks for asking :)
See them last night, mcaul6515?
Hi dutagupta, these ones are not in a nature reserve, they are on Dover Road up the driveway to UWCSEA School. They have been there for a few years and had chicks about 4 years ago.
I go almost every night (and will go tonight too :) ) Almost every night they are there at about 7 o'clock if you go up the drive way :D
Where did you see these? I've been wanting to see in owl in Singapore for forever!
Saw these owls last night again, and will post the photos now. Both the male and the female were together! :)
