Low clump of stout, gray-green, sword-like leaves. Single flowering stem grows out of leaf-clump. The stem in the picture (not yet in flower) is 6-7 feet tall.

Habitat:

Desert scrubland.

Notes:

Oak Creek drainage, near Cathedral Rock, Sedona, Arizona.
