Description:

* Adult Description: 1) Medium-sized [6.5 - 7.5 inches] songbird, 2) Bright yellow chest and throat, 3) Olive-green back, 4) White spectacles, 5) White belly and undertail, 6) Long tail. * Immature Description: Juvenile lacks yellow and has dusky spotting on throat and chest.

Habitat:

-- Specific Habitat: I observed this yellow-breasted chat perched in a tree at Harvest Square Nature Preserve in Huntsville, Alabama. -- General Habitat: Yellow-breasted chats are found in dense shrubby growth. They are often found on abandoned farmland and other rural areas where there is overgrown vegetation.
