A skipper butterfly with bright red eyes. The wings had whitish shading on the peripheral margins. First time I saw this species.
On a Canna plant that seems to be a moth magnet of sorts.
I wish I had seen it with the wings open then I would Have been a 100 per cent sure. Reported to be a pest of certain varieties of Banana
