Hummingbird

Panterpe insignis?

Description:

This was a really cute finding as this hummingbird was bathing in a waterfall and later drying up in the rocks nearby. I cannot really tell the species for sure as I did not see very clearly its front. It is most likely a fiery-throated, as these were very common in this area but could be another similarly colored species. In the last picture you can see the waterfall and the rocks at the bottom is where the hummie was resting.

Habitat:

Paraiso Quetzal. San Gerardo de Dota.
