Blue Top Snail

Calliostoma ligatum

Description:

I find the empty shells quite often, and they are much more brilliant in person. They shine iridescent once the outer layer of the shell has worn off, and I have even found ones that were blue, purple, and/or pink with an iridescent shine.

Habitat:

Tide pool
