I am pretty sure this is a sparrow, but not sure which species it is. The baby was out of the birdhouse for the very first time and in just a few days was gone from the nest all together

as I mentioned below it looks like a immature one judging by the gape.

The only Lark on that list I've seen in the US is the Horned Lark which is usually found in dry areas and nest on the ground.

Larks are from Europe. This is in America.
