Standing Bugle

Description:

Also known as Upright bugle, Blue bugle, Geneva bugleweed, blue bugleweed, this is a herbaceous flowering plant with an upright stem, and blue flowers in loose terminal spikes. The main difference with A. reptans is that this bugle has a hairy stem and leaves.

Habitat:

A flowering plant native to Europe, distributed throughout the continent though less common than its relative, A. reptans. It is often seen on woodland and in grasslands - here, this bugle was observed in Natural Reserve of Jura mountain range, at 900m approx; on edge of a mixed forest, and on shoulders of forest roads; in partial shade.

Notes:

There are some notes of its use as a herbal tea.
