Acanthurus blochii (Valenciennes, 1835)
Dark gray color, almost black with a white ring around the base of the dark blue tail. The entire pectoral fin is dark, the scalpel is long and not surrounded by pale blue (like the Yellowfin does) and there is very little yellow near the eyes.
Marine; reef-associated; depth range 2 - 15 m (6 to 50 feet).
