A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Phasmatodea
The stick insect resembles a twig- it has six twig-like legs and is very good at blending into its environment. Stick insects can shed a limb to avoid predators and can reproduce parthenogenetically- without the need for males.
Seen in captivity at a wildlife park.
I would really appreciate a more specific ID if you have time:)
