Brown Stick Insect

Description:

The stick insect resembles a twig- it has six twig-like legs and is very good at blending into its environment. Stick insects can shed a limb to avoid predators and can reproduce parthenogenetically- without the need for males.

Habitat:

Seen in captivity at a wildlife park.
