European Starling

Sturnus vulgaris

Habitat:

Suburban area

Notes:

The starling was introduced to the United States in the late 1800’s. It is now a major problem to some native birds. This particular bird nests under a roof. I have also seen them nest in broken roof eaves. It has metallic green and purple plumage while breeding.
