May Beetle

Phyllophaga crinita

Description:

I woke up one morning to find this beetle dead on my bathroom floor. So, like any mentally stable human being, I scooped it up and put it in a plastic jar for later identification. It's about the size of an adult's thumbnail, and it appears to have died of natural causes.
