Entypus unifasciatus
A mostly black wasp with reddish brown tips on the wings. The long antennae are a light sandy brown - where it gets its common name. The wasp is highly venomous and uses the venom to prey on spiders, which they paralyze and feed to their young.
Spotted in dense vegetation along a roadside at Mount Magazine State Park.
Range across much of North America but are more commonly found in the southern and eastern portions.
