Description:

This Anseriform bird belongs to the Anhimidae family. Actually is the only member of this family in Argentina. It can reach 50 cm tall. Usually found by couples or in few numbers. This time it appeared in the Ribera Norte natural reserve alone.

Habitat:

Wetlands and open areas from central Argentina to the northern region, including Paraguay and Brasil.
