Stonefly

Description:

A species of yellow-colored Stone Fly. It was resting on the wooden floor when I found it. When disturbed, it will quickly fly away but only for a short distance so it will land within 2 meters away. Roughly 20 mm long. Nymphs / juveniles are aquatic.

Habitat:

Found on the verandah of Bombalai Jungle Lodge, Tawau Hills Park, Sabah.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy: 3m diameter. I woke up early for nocturnal insects left behind from last night. My camera was apparently still sleepy so it could only take blurred photos of this creature without flash.
