Le Conte's Thrasher

Description:

One of members of the Thrasher family. Light gray color, with long curved bill. Tail is long and dark.

Habitat:

Found in dry desert like area. Sparse vegetation of scrub and chaparral and home to very little wildlife that is visible.

Notes:

A pair was keeping up with our car and kept a distance. Many birds of this area they are very skiddish even though they are far from you. These birds were curious so they came closer than the others. They run along the ground like Roadrunners.
