Horseshoe Crab

Limulus polyphemus

Description:

My good science teacher friend has a permit through her school to have these. She has raised them from eggs. This one is about two years old. They are so cool to watch. When they get big enough, we release them into their local habitat. :)

Habitat:

Salt Water. They dig and blend into the sand. You think there is only one or two in the tank then when it is feeding time, they all come out from their hiding spots in the sand to eat!!!
