Eastern Tiger Swallowtail

Papilio glaucus

Description:

I found this female Eastern tiger swallowtail dead on a sidewalk in North Carolina.

Habitat:

I've seen these often in this area. They like to hang around flower gardens. They're pretty common, and one often finds them dead of old age around residential areas.
