Description:

A spreadwing skipper butterfly with a distinctive wing shape and markings. The female is brown with bands of square blue-gray or olive-gray spots. The male is darker. The wingspan is 35–45 mm. Adults are on the wing all year round in most of its range.

Habitat:

Spotted at the National Butterfly Center in Mission, Texas. Often found at the forest edge.
