A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Odocoileus virginianus
Baby deer are born with spotted coats. Adults have reddish brown coats in the summer then they fade to a grayish brown shade in the winter.
There habitat is really anywhere from southern Canada to South America. In the summer they come out to graze in the fields and use trees for shade and in the winter they stick to the woods to be protected my winters harsh elements.
