Tomoxioda sp
Small beetle of about 5mm body length. Glossy black colouration and the pointy end of abdomen, which gives this family (Mordellidae) its common name. Also known as Tumbling Flower Beetle for the irregular jumping movements they make in order to escape predators (or photographers!).
Found on flowers in dry eucalypt forest of mainly Marri and Jarrah.
