Black-Tailed Jackrabbit

Lepus californicus

Description:

Although I've lived in Colorado most of my life, I had never seen a jackrabbit! So, not expecting it, our first reaction was "Holy crap! OMG it's a jackrabbit!!" We were then on the lookout and saw them a couple more times...fantastic creatures!!

Habitat:

Agricultural plains east of Denver.
