Two-striped Spider (male)

Telamonia dimidiata

Description:

Attractively coloured. The male is very dark, with white markings. Not a complete set of eight legs...quite a warrior this spider. Interestingly, another individual I saw enroute Hampi in Karnataka also lacked the complete complement of legs.

Habitat:

Garden.

Notes:

This is the poor spider species associated with the Internet hoax message about toilet-lurking spiders.

No. I'm getting very few comment notifications. You always answer so I was going to look and see if I could remember which of your spottings I asked on. Thanks much. I'll do that now.
