Description:

One of the biggest mantids I've ever found. Not at all timid. It seemed unperturbed by my presence and walked right onto my hand. Amazing camouflage with the weedy plants.

Cool find! This looks like a Chinese Mantis. Take a look at the link I provided above to compare.
Here is a link to a page for Mantis religiosa so you can see the differences. Mantis religiosa is much smaller than this big mantis. http://bugguide.net/node/view/22947
