Description:

Medium sized bird of prey Gray head and gray back, and reddish brown barred front. The legs and toes are yellow.

Habitat:

Dry scrub and farms, temperate and tropical Australia. Forest, woodlands and along river courses.

Notes:

My first reference for identification: The Michael Morcombe eGuide to Australian Birds, Mobile App. Saw this beautiful bird while on the Annie Creek walking trail.
