Description:

The upperside of wings are orange to brown in color and have distinctive markings and spots. The wingspan measures 2 to 2.6 inches (51 to 66 mm). The underside is seen in pic 2.

Habitat:

Spotted along a shaded trail at the National Butterfly Center in Mission, Texas.

Thanks, Ornithoptera80 but I'm almost certain this is theTawny emperor based on the non-broken bars on the forewings (Hackberry emperor has a broken bar), and it's missing the large dark eyespot that Hackberry has on the forewing.
