Brown Marmorated Stink Bug

Halyomorpha halys

Newly hatched Stink Bugs - Pentatomidae

Tropical forest

Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!

Thanks, @Sergio for your appreciation and kind words :)
It is always nice to see similar things and try to capture a bit of behaviour :D

I found several groups like this one, and I always wondered why they stay in that position. One could think that they are eating their empty egg shells, but their mouthparts aren't made for chewing, but for sucking. Your photo is so good that we can see that the bugs are sucking what was left of umidity in the eggs. Very nice spotting, Albert. Congrats.
