The Monkey Puzzle is a butterfly genus in the family Lycaenidae. It is found in India and Sri Lanka. It is a weak flier that flies low to the ground and generally does not stay airborne for long. When it lands, it tends to turn around, sidestep, and waggle its tail filaments. Often I have seen it landing, then walking backwards along a leaf.
Found in my garden in South India
