Description:

About 5-7cm long without the “horns”, with these being about 4cm long; light brown in colour with some red on thorax and first pair of legs; underside and areas between head and thorax, and thorax and abdomen covered in beige hairs; legs and head are black, and wing cases have a black band outlining. Picture #4 shows a female.

Habitat:

These beetles were attracted to street lights in a small village in the southern Ecuadorian Andes, at about 2500m above sea level.
