Luna Moth, Male

Actias luna

Description:

Found alive on the sidewalk at 6:40 am. Gently moved him to a shrub; so he could live out his few days under cover/protection.

Notes:

"Adult Luna Moths don't eat; in fact, they don't even have a mouth. They only live for about a week, and their only purpose is to mate." (source:http://www.fcps.edu/islandcreekes/ecology/luna_moth.htm)
