About 18-20 mm in length, colored as shown.

Habitat:

Crawling on the exterior window of visitor's center, but natural habitat is mixed conifer forest.

Notes:

Feeds on the developing cones of pine and other conifers. Overwinters as an adult insect, often seeking shelter indoors.
