Obscure root weevil

Sciopithes obscurus

Description:

A small brownish broad-nosed weevil with a dark wavy line across its elytra. Associated with blueberry plants mostly but apparently are attracted to other (small fruit) plants.

Habitat:

Spotted in my backyard garden. Grape and boysenberry plants intertwining. Ranges in western North America.
