A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Threskiornis molucca
"It has a predominantly white plumage with a bare, black head, long downcurved bill and black legs." (Wiki) As you can see there is a line of bare, pink skin that follows the wing bone. In the breeding season this bare, pink skin becomes scarlet. At times, White Ibis here in the Kimberley can be pindan coloured as well, much like the Little Corellas (Cacatua sanguinea sanguinea) see spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/234...
Just landing in the tree at the waste water wetlands.
