Differential Grasshopper

Description:

One of the most widespread grasshopper here in the Central US. They're easily identified by their thigh stripes, leg spurs, and the buzzing sound they make. They're the most active in the summer time among several other grasshopper species. They're well adapted to urban environments. They're sometimes considered pests, as they eat corn (that's huge here), grapes, and other important food crops.
