Red & Black spider

Red and Black spider approximately 10mm long
This one has distinctive pale markings within the black of the abdomen.
Very busily searching for prey as it prepares for winter.

Exploring the crevices of a large eucalyptus tree.. possibly E.ovata.. near the edge of a lake in a local nature reserve.

Genus or species might be difficult to establish but I think it could be N.peregrinus
There are many species yet to be described in this uniquely Australasian family.
